At Salon One, you’ll find a team of independent stylists working together under one roof. By choosing us, you’re supporting a small, women-owned, neighborhood business. Unlike cookie-cutter chain salons, we provide a unique salon experience that focuses on your specific hair needs and preferences in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Salon One has a long history of being stylist-owned:

• 1960s - Originally opened as the Taj Mahal Salon, by Josef, a German stylist. 
• 1972 - It became Jurgen's Salon, purchased by one of the Taj Majal stylists, Jurgen, along with his wife Gretl, who still works here! 
• 2014 - RJC Services aquired Jurgen's as a stylist-owned co-op. 
• 2023 - The last standing owner, Julie Morowczynski, renamed it Salon One in tribute to her previously owned salon in St. Louis Park. 
• 2024 - After three years of working with Julie and Getl, JuliAnn Joie stepped into ownership of Salon One, keeping the tradition going!
